Tertulia Language is a small and friendly company that offer language courses on the South Coast of England. We are based in Portsmouth and we cover the adjacent areas between Hampshire, West Sussex and South of London.
Our courses run from beginner to advanced levels, both face-to-face and online and our lessons are focused on communication and cultural aspects.
Our Story
After many years of living in England we decided to put together our experiences, culture and passion for languages and offer you our skills.
We work with highly qualified native and non-native tutors with broad teaching experience, passionate to teach their language and culture.
Our philosophy is to listen to your needs and prepare the most effective and pertinent course for you, taking into account your learning style, level and availability. We design engaging and friendly lessons focused on communication and cultural aspects, all at a competitive price.
"Tertulia" is a Spanish word that means an informal and regular meeting where people interested in the same topic gather to discuss, learn and share opinions.
In the mid-twentieth century it was very common that a tertulia would take place in a public place such as a bar.
